What I Wore in: The Catskills

Here’s what I wore for a long weekend in the Catskills. We went in early November, so the temperature hovered around 50 degrees. If you’re heading there in the fall or early winter, I’d recommend packing layers and waterproof shoes or rain boots!

I love a casual outfit that’s comfy and practical, but I’ve been trying to make things a tad more interesting with a pop of color or a monochromatic moment.

We planned to take some engagement photos with the fall foliage, so I wanted to pack something that felt more girly than my other outfits. I love the burgundy pop of color that would stand out against the fall leaves.

Switching to wool coats has been such a game-changer for cold weather. The insulation it provides compared to polyester or synthetic blends is unmatched. They are more expensive, but worth the investment as the quality will last forever! Paired with a cashmere grey sweater, leggings, and rain boots, this outfit was practical and very cozy.

We were doing lots of walking in Hudson this day, so I opted for good walking shoes, a cashmere sweater, and comfy jeans that aren’t too tight. I’ve also been using tretinoin, so I can’t forget the sunscreen and baseball cap!
